Abstract
The Commission's activities are grouped under the following categories: public administration; property and commerce; medicine, science, and the law; criminal justice; and uniform law reform. The report notes that the Commission completed 26 reports and discussion papers in 1987/1988. Issues addressed in these publications include the use of plain English in legal drafting, occupational regulation systems, an examination of laws governing the land title system, and the law relating to sexual offenses. Informed consent to medical procedures, genetic manipulation, and product liability were also addressed. In evaluating the Commission's performance, the report discusses publications produced compared to those scheduled, law reform monitoring, and installation of a new publishing system.
