This manual explains the goals of law-related education, outlines ways that individual lawyers and groups of lawyers can work with educators in their communities, and gives sample forms and materials that have been used effectively in law-related education.
Abstract
The guidelines are directed primarily to lawyers, but are also intended for educators, law students, criminal justice personnel, and others interested in becoming part of a law-related education project. The history, goals, and results of law-related education are outlined, and a variety of activities used successfully by lawyers and teachers are summarized. Guidelines are given for effectively preparing for a classroom visit. Steps to use in forming individual or group partnerships between lawyers and teachers are explained. The contents of curriculum materials available from Phi Alpha Delta's Public Service Center are listed. Questionnaires, evaluation forms, conference agendas, and addresses of national and State resources are given.
