ADVICE ON HOW INDIVIDUAL CITIZENS AND BUSINESSMEN, AND COMMUNITIES AS A WHOLE, CAN PROTECT THEMSELVES IN THE EVENT OF KIDNAPPING, ASSASSINATION, BOMBING, AND HIJACKING, USING CASE STUDIES OF ACTUAL EVENTS.
Abstract
THE AUTHOR DESCRIBES THE VARIOUS BOMBS USED BY TERRORISTS, WITHOUT EXPLAINING HOW TO MAKE THEM, AND SHOWS HOW TO RECOGNIZE A LETTER BOMB. HE ALSO OUTLINES PRECAUTIONS AGAINST KIDNAPPING FOR INTERNATIONAL BUSINESSMEN, BASED ON THE JANUARY 1971 KIDNAPPING OF THE BRITISH AMBASSADOR, SIR GEOFFREY JACKSON, BY SOUTH AMERICAN TERRORISTS. AN EXAMINATION OF THE TERRORISTS THEMSELVES COVERS HOW THE TERRORISTS WORK AND WHY, ANALYZES THEIR OPERATIONS, THEIR WEAPONS, AND THEIR TRICKS, AND FOCUSES ON THEIR WEAK POINTS. HIGHLIGHTED ARE THE METHODS OF THE SYMBIONESE LIBERATION ARMY, PALESTINIAN GUERRILLAS, CANDAIAN SEPARATISTS, AND THE IRISH REPUBLIC ARMY, (IRA).
