OUTLINE OF THE SUCCEEDING STEPS, COSTS, AND SCHEDULING PRIORITIES TO CONTINUE BOTH ADDITIONAL COURT INFORMATION SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT EFFORTS AND THE IMPLEMENTATION EFFORT NECESSARY TO ACHIEVE IMPROVED EFFICIENCY OF THE COURTS.
Abstract
THIS PLAN COVERS THE SEVEN-YEAR PERIOD COMMENCING JANUARY 1, 1974 AND CONCLUDING DECEMBER 31, 1980, WITH CONSIDERABLE PLANNING DETAIL PROVIDED IN THE SHORT RANGE (ONE TO TWO YEARS) AND MORE GENERAL PLANNING INFORMATION OFFERED IN THE SUCCEEDING THREE YEARS. INDIVIDUAL SECTIONS DETAIL THE FUNDAMENTAL PURPOSES, USES AND CONSTRAINTS OF THE PLAN; CITE THE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE MIGHIGAN SUPREME COURT'S SYSTEMS DEPARTMENT, AND SUMMARIZES THE DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES AS OF THIS REPORT. ALSO OUTLINED ARE THE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION EFFORTS REQUIRED FOR THE MAJOR SYSTEMS IN RECORDER'S COURT (BASIC MICHIGAN COURT SYSTEM AND TRAFFIC AND ORDINANCE SYSTEM); THE PERSONNEL REQUIREMENTS NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THE REMAINING SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT EFFORT AND TO SUPPORT THE TRANSITION TO SYSTEMS IMPLEMENTATION AND PRODUCTION OPERATIONS; AND THE JUDICIAL DATA CENTER EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS AND SITE CONSIDERATIONS NECESSARY TO SUPPORT THE SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION EFFORTS, IN ADDITION, COST ESTIMATES HAVE BEEN PREPARED TO DETERMINE THE BUDGETARY REQUIREMENT TO SUPPORT THIS LONG-RANGE EFFORT.
