DISCUSSION OF A NUMBER OF WAYS TO OBTAIN BACKGROUND INFORMATION ON PROSPECTIVE EMPLOYEES.
Abstract
THE AUTHOR REVIEWS PROVISIONS OF THE CONSUMER CREDIT PROTECTION ACT AS WELL AS SOME OF THE CIVIL RIGHTS ACT OF 1964, FOCUSING ON THOSE PARTS RELEVANT TO THE GATHERING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION. AN EXAMINATION IS MADE OF SEVERAL DEVICES WHICH CAN BE OF ASSISTANCE IN SELECTING EMPLOYEES - THE PERSONAL REACTION BLANK, THE PSYCHOLOGICAL STRESS EVALUATOR, AN INTEGRITY PROFILE, AND POLYGRAPHS.
