Abstract
The first section, on policy formulation and direction, includes managing delinquency systems from a national, State, and community perspective. In the second section of the book, experienced managers deal with topical areas in almost every aspect of the juvenile justice system, covering detention services, facility programming for female delinquents and sex offenders, and managing aftercare services for delinquents. The third section of the book is devoted to the special areas of programs and services for delinquent and at-risk youth. The book focuses on training issues for those in the juvenile justice system and those conducting research and evaluation. The final section, on managing system issues, deals with cultural sensitivity in juvenile delinquency prevention, public-private sector relationships, budgeting and finance, and the role of professional associations.
