Abstract
The articles are organized in three sections, the first of which deals with the context of police management, i.e., labor relations, politics, civilian review, and police-minority relations. The second section contains articles on legal issues, including the impact of civil liability, relevant U.S. Supreme Court rulings, and administrative rule-making on police organizations. The final section contains articles on measuring police performance, police ethics, and the impact of future demographic trends on police administration. Chapter references
