DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS ARE OFFERED ON THE INITIAL DISCOVERY OF BLOODSTAINS (FORM, COLOR, POSSIBILITIES FOR ERROR); THE SECURING AND PRESERVATION OF BLOOD SAMPLES; VARIOUS FORMS OF PRELIMINARY TREATMENT (E.G., USE OF AMMONIACAL BLOODSTAIN EXTRACTS); METHODS OF IDENTIFYING AND TESTING FOR BLOODSTAINS (E.G., THE BEZIDINE TEST); BLOODTYPING PROCEDURES (INCLUDING MODERN METHODS OF ELECTROPHORESIS); THE DETERMINATION OF THE AGE, AMOUNT, AND GENDER OF BLOODSTAINS; THE IDENTIFICATION OF MENSTRUAL, FOETAL, AND ABORTION BLOOD; AND THE IDENTIFICATION OF INFANT BLOOD.
