THIS STUDY ADDRESSES THE POSSIBILITY OF ACCEPTANCE OF THE SOCIOLOGY OF CONFLICT CRIMINOLOGY (WHICH REPRESENTS A NEW MARXIAN PERSPECTIVE) ON THE PART OF THE CRIMINOLOGICAL COMMUNITY, FOCUSING ON METHODS USED IN THIS ANALYSIS.
Abstract
IT PRESENTS A REVIEW OF THE RELEVANT EMPIRICAL LITERATURE WHICH NOW EXISTS IN THE SOCIOLOGY OF SCIENCE AND WHICH SOCIOLOGISTS OF CRIMINOLOGY MUST ABSORB TO STUDY MORE THOROUGHLY THE EFFECTS OF PARADIGM REVOLUTIONS IN CRIMINOLOGY. IT ATTEMPTS TO OUTLINE SOME OF THE METHODS THAT CAN BE USED TO MEASURE THE SOCIOLOGICAL COMMUNITY'S ACCEPTANCE OF THESE NEW CRIMINOLOGICAL PARADIGMS, INCLUDING CITATION ANALYSIS (I.E., CITATIONS IN CONTEXT) AND SOCIOMETRIC NETWORK ANALYSIS. A BIBLIOGRAPHY CONTAINING 15 ENTRIES IS APPENDED.
