Abstract
THE PURPOSE OF PATUXENT INSTITUTION IS OUTLINED DISCUSSED ARE THE CRITERIA FOR INCLUSION UNDER THE LAW AND THE PROBLEM OF DETERMINING EMOTIONAL UNBALANCE, AS A CRITERIA. THE DEFECTIVE DELINQUENT IS DISTINGUISHED FROM THE HABITUAL CRIMINAL. AREAS OF DECISIONS, RELEASE, WHERE PSYCHIATRIC AND INSTITUTIONAL INTERESTS CONFLICT ARE NOTED.
