The Maryland Division of Parole and Probation received 36,693 new cases during 1982, a 9-percent increase over last year. New programs have been launched to handle this growth, including a Case Management System, a Volunteer Services Program, a new presentence investigative reporting format, and the OBSCIS II Management Information System.
Abstract
The division is also studying misdemeanant probation and recidivism. The report discusses the activities and operations of the Bureaus of Administrative Services, Field Operations, and Policy and Program Development. Tables, graphs, and charts are included. A directory of agency offices is appended.
