This report provides data on the operations and functions of Maryland's courts during the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1993, and ending June 30, 1994.
Abstract
The report presents statistical information on individual courts as well as an overview of the Maryland judicial system as a whole. At the end of the fiscal year, the State had 97 District Court judges, 125 circuit court judges, 13 judges of the Court of Special Appeals, and seven judges of the Court of Appeals of Maryland. Approximately 2,500 nonjudicial personnel also worked in the judicial system. State and local costs to support the operations of the judicial branch were approximately $187.9 million.
