INDIVIDUAL CHAPTERS COVER THE ORGANIZATION OF THE MARYLAND STATE POLICE CIVIL DISTURBANCE TASK FORCE, THE OPERATIONAL PROCEDURE FOR CIVIL DISTURBANCES, MASS ARRESTS, RIOT CONTROL FORMATIONS, THE USE OF TACTICAL EMERGENCY UNITS (INCLUDING A LIST OF AVAILABLE SPECIAL EQUIPMENT), AND USE OF THE RIOT BATON. OTHER TOPICS DISCUSSED INCLUDE THE USE OF TEAR GAS AND TRAINING IN CROWD CONTROL TACTICS.
