The report outlines the goals and objectives, activities, and accomplishments of Massachusetts halfway house programs during 1981. Directors of the Massachusetts Halfway houses, Inc., (MHHI) a private corporation, provide an overview of MHHI operations and budget during the year.
Abstract
Progress reports are supplied by the following programs: Brooke House Multi-Service Center, the oldest halfway house for ex-offenders in New England; Massachusetts Community Assistance Parole Program (MassCAPP), serving developmentally disabled offenders; Boston Offender Services Project; Coolidge House, for adult, male ex-offenders; Joseph M. Ambrose House, a community-based program for youthful offenders; and others serving both adults and juveniles. The MassCAPP was begun this year, but some programs had to be merged with others due to funding losses. More MHHI funds were directed toward juvenile offenders and nonresidential programs during 1981 than in previous years. Tables and organizational charts are supplied.
