Abstract
THE STANDARD APPROACH TO CORRECTIONAL THERAPY, WHICH EMPHASIZES INDIVIDUAL CASE WORK AND RELIES ON HIGHLY TRAINED PROFESSIONALS, IS UNREALISTIC FOR THE VAST MAJORITY OF OFFENDERS. NEW METHODS FOR DEALING WITH CORRECTIONAL PROBLEMS MUST BE DEVELOPED AND TESTED.
