A REVIEW OF TRAFFIC ACCIDENT INVESTIGATING PROCEDURES IN METROPOLITAN LONDON WITH SUGGESTIONS FOR EVIDENCE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS.
Abstract
THE AUTHOR RECOMMENDS THAT URINE SAMPLES BE TAKEN IN CONJUNCTION WITH BLOOD SAMPLES TO REPLICATE THE FINDING OF ALCOHOL WHEN DRINKING MAY HAVE BEEN A FACTOR. ALSO, HEAVY ACCELERATOR IMPRESSIONS ON THE SOLES OF THE DECEASED DRIVER'S SHOES MAY INDICATE EXCESSIVE SPEED OR ACCELERATION. THE AUTHOR POINTS OUT THE IMPORTANCE OF DETERMINING THE ORDER OF DEATH WHEN TWO OR MORE MEMBERS OF THE SAME FAMILY HAVE BEEN KILLED.
