This British film explored what factors influence jurors by having a mock jury judge an actual case already decided in court.
Abstract
The jurors bring out the salient points of the case but not in the order of the actual trial. One man plays a prominent role, particularly in the beginning of the session. As time passes, the atmosphere becomes more relaxed, social, and argumentative. Two jurors favoring conviction work together to convince those opposed, who lack cohesion. After 40 minutes of discussion, jurors still find their differences irreconcilable. They break off further discussion as no one has changed their mind.
