A CD provides guidance and resources for the facilitator of a training module that features information on the etiology and physiology of the current worldwide epidemic of methamphetamine use and addiction; and a DVD for use in the training contains information on these subjects presented by a faculty with specialized knowledge in the subjects.
Abstract
The CD presents an overview of the module for the facilitator, a listing of learning objectives, faculty biographies, pretest and posttest for trainees, module handouts, bibliographies, a list of resources, and a certificate of completion. The DVD presents information by the faculty intended to achieve the learning objectives. There are four learning objectives for the training module. One objective is to acquire knowledge of the chemical and physiological properties of methamphetamine. A second learning objective is to develop a greater understanding of the manufacture, distribution, and sale of methamphetamine. A third objective is to learn about the acute and chronic effects of methamphetamine addiction, and a fourth objective is to acquire knowledge on the process of methamphetamine addiction and dependence. A companion CD and DVD provide training in evidence-based treatments of persons addicted to methamphetamine.
