Abstract
THE REPORT -- THE 21ST FOR THE METROPOLITAN TORONTO POLICE -- DOCUMENTS THE ACTIVITIES OF THE MARINE UNIT, WHICH PATROLS THE CITY'S SHORELINE; YOUTH BUREAU; CITIZEN COMPLAINT BUREAU; AND EMERGENCY SERVICES UNIT. COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT ACTIVITIES ARE DESCRIBED. THE COMPLETION OF TWO NEW FACILITIES -- A STATION BUILDING AND A BUILDING TO HOUSE THE POLICE COLLEGE -- IS NOTED. TABLES AND GRAPHS PRESENT DATA ON CRIME RATES, CLEARANCES, JUVENILE OFFENSES, CALLS FOR SERVICE, MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENTS, SPECIFIC CRIMINAL CODE OFFENSES, PERSONNEL, VEHICLES, COSTS, AND OTHER ASPECTS OF DEPARTMENT OPERATIONS.
