A STUDY ON THE CONSOLIDATION OF POLICE RECORDS AND COMMUNICATIONS FOR THE MINERAL WELLS (TX) POLICE DEPARTMENT AND THE PALO PINTO COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, DATED OCTOBER 14, 1975.
Abstract
THE MINERAL WELLS POLICE DEPARTMENT, WITH 25 SWORN OFFICERS AND 5 NON-SWORN PERSONNEL, PROVIDES POLICE SERVICES TO AN ELEVEN SQUARE MILE AREA THAT HAS A POPULATION OF 17,000. THE PALO PINTO COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT HAS A SWORN STRENGTH OF EIGHT, AND PROVIDES SERVICES FOR 26,000 PEOPLE IN A 948 SQUARE MILE AREA. THE STUDY IS CONCERNED WITH PLANNING A JOINT HEADQUARTERS FACILITY FOR THE TWO DEPARTMENTS. THE FOUR MAIN AREAS UNDER CONSIDERATION ARE JAIL SIZE AND CAPACITY, OFFICE SPACE REQUIREMENTS, COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT, AND RECORDS EQUIPMENT.
