A QUANTITATIVE STUDY OF THE POTENTIAL DISPARITIES IN THE RECOMMENDATIONS AND TREATMENT OF JUVENILE AND YOUTHFUL OFFENDERS.
Abstract
IT WAS FOUND BY THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS THAT THE TREATMENT AGENCIES DID USE THE TREATMENT RECOMMENDATIONS TO A HIGH DEGREE. THE MOST FREQUENT REASONS FOR NON-COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS WERE - UNAVAILABILITY OF TREATMENT RESOURCES, UNAVAILABILITY OF CLIENT FOR TREATMENT, AND PLACEMENT OF CLIENT IN AGENCY OTHER THAN THAT RECOMMENDED.
