THIS REPORT DISCUSSES THE ORGANIZATION AND FUNCTION OF THE OMBUDSMAN OFFICE FOCUSING ON THE COMPLAINT PROCESSING SYSTEM, A FUNCTIONAL ANALYSIS OF THE TOTAL PROGRAM, AND AN EXPLANATION OF THE TYPE OF COMPLAINTS RECEIVED.
Abstract
SEVERAL SAMPLE COMPLAINTS AND THEIR RESOLUTIONS ARE PRESENTED. CORRECTIONAL STATISTICS RELATING TO OMBUDSMEN ARE ALSO GIVEN. THE APPENDIXES CONTAIN THE OMBUDSMAN OFFICE'S ENABLING LEGISLATION, A FINANCIAL SUMMARY, AND AN EXAMPLE OF HOW OMBUDSMAN ACTION RESULTED IN LIBERALIZED CORRECTIONS POLICY.
