The 1992 annual report of the National Center for State Courts outlines the center's organization and activities, financial status, and projects and services.
Abstract
The 1992 theme of the center was transformation, the need to respond to change propelled by the growing sophistication of center constituents and the need to deliver more services with reduced resources. All research projects and programs are now consolidated at the center's headquarters in Williamsburg, Virginia. Direct services, previously provided by four regional offices, are now being delivered on a national basis from the Court Services Division in Denver. The center's reorganization is expected to produce greater effectiveness and responsiveness in meeting State court needs in a changed environment, expanded skills in direct service provision, enriched research and education programs, and improvements to the Institute for Court Management. Details are provided on the center's Research Division, Court Services Division, Washington Liaison Office, and the Institute for Court Management and on the center's international program. Data are tabulated on the center's financial status and human resources, and 1992 projects, programs, and services are listed.
