The NCS obtains data on personal and household victimization for six selected crimes. The research design consists of a survey of households in the Nation as a whole and in certain major U.S. cities. This report pertains to the cities sample. Appendixes contain the questionnaire and tables for 8 'impact' cities, the 5 'largest' cities, and for 13 cities. The glossary defines NCS variables.
