This codebook on the 1979-1985 National Crime Survey reviews the collected data since 1972 on household victimization.
Abstract
Detailed statistical information is provided about types of victimization crime, such as rape, robbery, assault, burglary, larceny, and auto theft on approximately 59,000 housing units from the 50 States and the District of Columbia. Data gathered reflect the 1979 format redesign and the characteristics of all household members 12 years and above through personal interview using three standardized forms. Includes appendixes on industrial and occupational classification codes, a glossary, scoring information, questionnaire and control card, and census sample information and NCS survey rotation chart.
