This document is a collection of statements from 15 organizations, most of which are primarily involved in criminal justice, in which the research priorities of their respective agencies in the area of health are identified. The organizations participated in a meeting on health and justice in September 1993.
Abstract
This document contains statements from the 15 national organizations that participated in the National Institutes of Health and Justice Working Meeting in Washington, D.C. on September 13, 1993. Most of the organizations are primarily involved in criminal justice. Their statements identified the health-related issues that each organization was most interested in having addressed at the meeting. Participants included: the American Bar Association, American Correctional Association, Consortium of Social Science Associations, Fraternal Order of Police, Hispanic American Police Command Officers Association, National Academy of Sciences, National Association of Counties, National Association of State Alcohol and Drug Abuse Directors, Inc., National Center for State Courts, National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, National District Attorneys Association, National Sheriff's Association, Police Executive Research Forum, United States Conference of Mayors and Victim Services.
