THE ARIZONA WORK CONFERENCE CONSISTED OF FIVE SESSIONS FOCUSING ON THE THEME OF CHANGE, A PROCESS CENTRAL TO EFFECTIVE OPERATION OF JUVENILE OR FAMILY COURTS.
Abstract
THE TRAINING GOALS OF THE CONFERENCE HELD AT TUCSON, WERE TO PROVIDE - A THEORETICAL MODEL FOR PLANNING CHANGE, INSIGHTS AND AWARENESS OF THE BASIC FACTORS ASSOCIATED WITH VARIOUS CHANGE STRATEGIES, AND AN OPPORTUNITY AND CONDITIONS FOR BOTH RECEIVING AND GIVING CONSULTATION FOR THE RESOLUTION OF BACK-HOME PROBLEMS. A GENERAL SESSION WAS HELD IN WHICH THE JUVENILE COURT PROCESS WAS LINKED WITH THE CHANGE PROCESS. VARIOUS WORKSHOPS CONSIDERED THE CONSEQUENCES OF FAILURE TO INVOLVE OTHERS IN PLANNING FOR CHANGE AND EXAMINED THE JUDGE-PROBATION OFFICER RELATIONSHIP FROM THE STANDPOINT OF INTERPERSONAL PERCEPTIONS. COPIES OF HANDOUTS GIVEN OUT DURING THE CONFERENCE ARE INCLUDED.
