This report is a summary of the annual statistical overview of crime and the criminal justice system in Finland.
Abstract
This report provides research on crime, criminality, and the functioning of the criminal justice system in Finland. Also discussed are evaluation studies in other spheres of legal policy. This collection of research is from the National Research Institute of Legal Policy which conducts social and legal studies both in the field of criminology and general legal policy and includes summaries of the following research reports: Victims in the Criminal Process - Vulnerability, Services and Treatment; Crimes against Retail and Manufacturing Premises in Finland; News Media, Crime and Fear of Violence; Homicide in Finland, the Netherlands and Sweden - A First Study on the European Homicide Monitor Data; Influencing EU Law-Making and Enforcing the EU Directives in Finland; and The Quality of Law-Drafting from the Viewpoint of Parliament Committees. Also included in this report is a summary of the criminological unit's annual statistical overview of crime and criminal justice in Finland published in 2011. Tables and figures
