This publication looks at several issues and developments related to the National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign of the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP).
Abstract
The publication describes the partnership strategy of the campaign to prevent drug use among school-aged children and an advertising and public communications effort to combat the use of ecstasy, a dangerous hallucinogen that is surging in popularity among young people. The publication also discusses efforts of the ONDCP to support anti-drug groups, collaboration with Girl Scouts of the USA, the role of lawyers as agents of social change in the fight against drug abuse, attitudes of young people toward drug use, the development of a web site of drug education resources, and parenting tips on how to prevent drug use by young people.
