This report presents statistics on Nebraska's adult inmate and parole populations during fiscal year 1994.
Abstract
Statistics on adults currently confined (June 1994), distinguished by gender, address record center, admission type, race, current age, commitment area, most serious offense, first count offense, minimum sentence, maximum sentence, length of stay, current custody, and length of stay in months. Information on adult parolees encompasses admission type, sex, race, current age, commitment area, most serious offense category, first count offense category, minimum sentence, maximum sentence, length of stay in an institution, and length of stay on parole. Statistics on admissions are distinguished by regular admissions, admissions for evaluation, and admissions for "safekeeping" (those charged with parole violations who are held in custody until the hearing is completed). Statistics on releases have a format similar to admissions. Statistics are also provided on releases to parole, parole revocations, and recidivism for fiscal year 1986 through fiscal year 1991. The average monthly adult inmate population for fiscal year 1994 was 2,477, a 5.1-percent decrease from 1993.
