This report provides statistics on the number and characteristics of juveniles confined or on parole in Nebraska in fiscal year 1998.
Abstract
The first section of the report contains an admission and release summary that includes the average population of juveniles confined and on parole for the year. The average juvenile population at the Youth Rehabilitation and Development Center in Kearney was 230.975; the Youth Rehabilitation and Development Center in Geneva had an average population of 110.876. The average population of juveniles on parole was 519.849. Section 2 reports the number and characteristics of juveniles currently confined or on parole. For each facility, the information on juvenile residents addresses location, sex, race, current age, county of commitment, reason for commitment, grade level, religious preference, length of stay in months, and breakdown by commitment type. Information on juvenile parolees covers location, sex, status by sex, location by sex, race, current age, age by sex, county of commitment, reason for commitment, parole officer, grade level, religious preference, and length of stay in months. Remaining sections of the report address the number and characteristics of admissions to various facilities and parole, releases and parole discharges, parole revocations, and foster care placements.
