DOCUMENTED AUXILIARY DATA ARE PROVIDED TO THE VOLUME ON THE DEINSTITUTIONALIZATION OF JUVENILE STATUS OFFENDERS THROUGH INTERAGENCY COLLABORATION IN YOUTH ADVOCACY AND COMMUNITY YOUTH PROGRAMS.
Abstract
AUXILIARY TABLES PRESENT DATA ON PROGRAMS PLANNED AND IMPLEMENTED IN CONNECTION WITH INTERAGENCY COLLABORATION ON BEHALF OF YOUTH FOR THE FOLLOWING CITIES: OAKLAND, CALIF., SPARTANBURG, S.C., SPOKANE, WASH., TUCSON, ARIZ., AND FOR THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT. A TABLE ALSO REPORTS ATTITUDE CHANGES BY MEMBERS OF LOCAL BOARDS OF DIRECTORS. A RATIONALE FOR ORGANIZATIONAL ANALYSIS OF LOCAL AGENCIES INVOLVED IN JUVENILE JUSTICE COLLABORATION IS PROVIDED, DISCUSSING THE SCOPE AND METHODOLOGY OF THE EVALUATION TO BE PERFORMED AND LISTING VARIOUS EVALUATIONS THAT MIGHT BE USED. COLLABORATION GOALS ARE DISCUSSED AND EVALUATIVE RESEARCH QUESTIONS TO BE ASKED IN CONSIDERING PROGRESS TOWARD THESE GOALS ARE CONSIDERED, AS WELL AS SOURCES OF DATA FOR THE RESEARCH. APPENDIXES ALSO PROVIDE THE FORMAT FOR A CONFERENCE DEALING WITH THE EVALUATION RESEARCH INSTRUMENTS TO BE USED IN ORGANIZATIONAL ANALYSIS, INCLUDING CODEBOOKS AND SAMPLE FORMS FOR INTERVIEWS, ATTITUDE MEASUREMENT, AND STRUCTURED OBSERVATION. A BIBLIOGRAPHY FOR JUVENILE JUSTICE COLLABORATION IS PROVIDED, DEALING WITH RESEARCH THEORY AND METHODS, JUVENILE JUSTICE, AND VOLUNTARY ORGANIZATIONS AND PROGRAMS. A CONCLUDING APPENDIX DISCUSSES THE INTERNAL ORGANIZATION OF JUVENILE JUSTICE COLLABORATIONS, USING A NUMBER OF MODELS. (RCB)
