Abstract
The manual describes the necessary skills and required duties of the Neighborhood Block Coordinatory and explains why familiarity with neighbors on the block and neighborhood involvement are necessary. It also emphasizes the importance of prompt and complete information when reporting a crime and lists procedures to be followed when making an emergency call to the police. The speed with which calls are dispatched is explained, and procedures for obtaining home security surveys are outlined. The manual also explains why and how property should be marked. Sample brochures and forms to be distributed are included.
