Abstract
NEVADA'S ACTION PROGRAMS DESCRIBED IN VOLUME ONE, DEAL WITH PROBATION SUBSIDY, COMMUNITY BASED TREATMENT PROGRAMS, RURAL SERVICES, TRAINING PROGRAMS, AND INSTITUTIONS. OTHER PROGRAMS ARE CONCERNED WITH RUNAWAYS, POLICE NEEDS, FOSTER-GROUP HOMES, DRUG PREVENTION AND REHABILITATION, AND DATA PROCESSING AND STATISTICAL SERVICES. TABLES CONCERNING JUVENILE FACILITIES, ARRESTS, AND JUVENILE OFFENSES ARE INCLUDED. VOLUME TWO DEALS WITH THE CREATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AUTONOMOUS DEPARTMENT OF YOUTH SERVICES WHICH WOULD ENCOMPASS PREVENTION, DISPOSITION, AND REHABILITATION. INDIVIDUAL CHAPTERS INCLUDE THE YOUTH SERVICES AGENCY AND THE JUVENILE COURT, TRAINING, INSTITUTIONS, AND COUNSELING AND EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY. ALSO DISCUSSED ARE SERVICES RENDERED BY THE YOUTH ADVOCATE OFFICE.
