Abstract
Terms and definitions are included from the U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics Dictionary of Criminal Justice Data Terminology: Terms and Definitions Proposed for Interstate and National Data Collection and Exchange, Second Edition (1981). Although there may be regional differences in pronunciation, a guide to acceptable pronunciation has been provided for all foreign language terms as well as for terms that may be difficult to pronounce compared to words in general use.
