METHODS AND PROCEDURES BY WHICH CRIMINAL JUSTICE AGENCIES IN NEW HAMPSHIRE CAN ENSURE THE PRIVACY AND SECURITY OF CRIMINAL HISTORY DATA ARE SET FORTH.
Abstract
THE PLAN, PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE REQUIREMENTS, BRINGS TOGETHER IN ONE SYSTEM THE SEVERAL SYSTEMS AND PROCEDURES IN EFFECT THROUGHOUT THE STATE. THE SCOPE OF THE PLAN IS DEFINED, AND DEFINITIONS ARE PRESENTED. PLAN OBJECTIVES ARE STATED, AND OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES ARE DESCRIBED RELATIVE TO DATA COMPLETENESS AND ACCURACY, LIMITS ON DISSEMINATION, NOTICE, SANCTIONS, VALIDATION, EXPIRATION, AUDITS AND QUALITY CONTROL, SECURITY, AND INDIVIDUAL RIGHT OF ACCESS AND REVIEW. THE STATE'S CERTIFICATION POLICIES ARE DESCRIBED. NON-CRIMINAL JUSTICE AGENCIES USING CRIMINAL HISTORY RECORD INFORMATION ARE LISTED. PENALTIES FOR NONCOMPLIANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE PLAN ARE NOTED. A SCHEDULE OF PLAN IMPLEMENTATION MILESTONES IS FOLLOWED BY DESIGNATION OF THE IMPLEMENTATION RESPONSIBILITIES OF SPECIFIC AGENCIES. SUPPORTING MATERIALS INCLUDES CERTIFICATION DOCUMENTS, CENTRAL REPOSITORY OPERATING PROCEDURES, EXCERTS FROM RELEVANT LAWS, AND SAMPLE COPIES OF FORMS.
