THIS EVALUATION REPORT PRESENTS DESCRIPTIVE AND COMPARATIVE DATA ON THE ACTIVITIES OF FIVE NEW JERSEY PUBLIC HOUSING SECURITY UNITS THAT ARE FUNDED BY THE STATE LAW ENFORCEMENT PLANNING AGENCY.
Abstract
THE REPORT PRESENTS INFORMATION REGARDING THE EXTENT AND CHARACTERISTICS OF CRIME IN THE PUBLIC HOUSING PROJECTS ANALYZED. IT ALSO IDENTIFIES NUMEROUS ISSUES BOTH NATIONALLY AND LOCALLY WHICH CONTRIBUTE TO THE CRIME PROBLEM AS WELL AS PRESENTING DIFFICULTIES IN PROVIDING APPROPRIATE SECURITY MEASURES IN PUBLIC HOUSING PROJECTS. IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING BASIC INFORMATION WHICH CAN INFLUENCE THE COURSE OF FUTURE PROGRAM PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT IN THE NEW JERSEY AREA, THE REPORT ALSO PROVIDES MANAGEMENT FEEDBACK FOR AGENCY PERSONNEL AND LOCAL JURISDICTIONS CONCERNED WITH MONITORING THE PERFORMANCE OF SUCH PROJECTS....KAP
