Abstract
BOTH PHOTOGRAPHIC AND IMPRESSION TAKING TECHNIQUES ARE EXPLORED. THE AUTHORS EXAMINE THE USE OF CHEMICALS SUCH AS SILICON GUMS, CATALYTICALLY HARDENED PLASTICS, POLYMERS, AND SYNTHETIC TEXTILE FIBERS IN AEROSOL CANS TO PROTECT IMPRESSIONS IN CLAY, SAND-LIKE SURFACES, AND SNOW.
