This document presents New Mexico's drug control and system improvement accomplishments and plan, summarizing the past objectives and achievements by federally funded projects that have the common goal of developing and implementing a strategic plan by the turn of the century.
Abstract
For Federal fiscal year 1993, New Mexico received $2.78 million from the U.S. Department of Justice under the Drug Control and System Improvement formula grant program. The projects included Drug Abuse Resistance Education, multijurisdictional task forces, community crime prevention, Integrated Criminal Apprehension Program, career criminal prosecution, and court and corrections systems improvements. Other projects included offender treatment, criminal justice information systems, innovative programs, domestic assault reduction, evaluation and research, records improvement, and administration. Each program is described with respect to its funding, locations, goal, objectives, activities, and performance measures.
