New Mexico's Organized Crime Prevention Commission investigated gambling activities, drug trafficking, racing industry practices, natural resource promotions, and public employee corruption (embezzlement) during the year.
Abstract
The report mentions commission staff training activities and other types of assistance given by the commission. A total of 25 investigations were ongoing during the year, of which 10 resulted in a number of arrests, indictments, and prosecutions for crimes ranging from filing false public vouchers to interstate narcotics trafficking and commercial gambling. A few explanatory tables are supplied.
