Judicial Department activities for fiscal year 1979-80 in the State of New Mexico are reported.
Abstract
The report summarizes the structure, responsibilities, and finances of department components, including the administrative office of the courts, the supreme court, the court of appeals, district courts, juvenile probation service, magistrate courts, and the subsidiary judicial agencies. Among the activities reported is the penalty assessment program which disposes by mail of minor traffic citations. The bulk of the report contains statistics on case filings and dispositions from the various courts. Tabular and graphic data are given.
