Abstract
THE REPORT OPENS WITH SUMMARY DESCRIPTIONS ON NEW PROGRAMS INITIATED IN 1976, INCLUDING A STATE SEARCH AND RESCUE PLAN, A NEW HELICOPTER, AN UPDATED TELETYPE SYSTEM, A SPEEDING TRAFFIC OFFENSE PATROL PROGRAM, AND A NEWLY CREATED EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY OFFICE. THE ACTIVITIES OF THE GOVERNOR'S SECURITY SECTION, INTERNAL AFFAIRS AND INSPECTIONS SECTION, AND LEGAL SECTION OF THE CHIEF'S OFFICE ARE SUMMARIZED. DEMOGRAPHIC INFORMATION AND SUMMARIES OF CRIMINAL LAW ENFORCEMENT, TRAFFIC LAW ENFORCEMENT, AND OTHER ACTIVITIES ARE PRESENTED FOR EACH OF THE 12 DISTRICTS IN THE UNIFORMED BUREAU.
