Abstract
CONVICTION RATES ARE LISTED FOR SUCH MAJOR CRIME CATEGORIES AS MURDER, RAPE, ARMED ROBBERY, AND NARCOTICS. COMPARATIVE INFORMATION FOR 1972, 1973, AND 1974-75 IS ALSO PROVIDED. STATISTICS ON JUVENILE CASES HANDLED AND NONSUPPORT CASES HANDLED ARE PRESENTED AS WELL. ACTIVITIES OF THE SCREENING DIVISION, WHICH DECIDES WHICH CASES TO PROSECUTE, ARE OUTLINED. NEW PROGRAMS SUCH AS THE DIVERSIONARY PROGRAM, THE RELEASE ON RECOGNIZANCE PROGRAM, AND THE VICTIM/WITNESS PROGRAM ARE DESCRIBED. FINALLY, ACTIVITIES OF THE INVESTIGATIVE DIVISION AND ADMINISTRATION ARE SUMMARIZED.
