Tables for local courts address type of offense charged, outcome of the charge, outcome of the court appearance (separate table for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander persons charged), legal representation, bail status, penalty for principal offense (separate table for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander persons), and case data by defendants' demographics. Statistical tables for children's courts address the type of principal offense, bail status at final appearance, penalty for principal offense, and type of principal offense by sex and age. Tables for the New South Wales higher courts address the trial and sentence cases registered and finalized; jurisdiction, year of committal, and type of committal; type of offense charged; number of offenses charged; outcome of charge by jurisdiction; penalty for principal offense (separate table for drug offenses); the average penalty; type of principal offense according to prior convictions; type of principal offense by age and sex; bail status; and outcome of appeals against convictions and sentences.
