The Commission investigated corruption and abuses in the Green Haven Correctional Facility, fraud and breach of fiduciary duty at the Teamsters Local 237 Welfare Fund, and smuggling of diseased cattle.
Abstract
It also investigated personnel abuses at the State Department of Labor and other allegations of corruption in New York State. It published reports of these investigations, continuing the trend begun in 1958 when the Commission was established. Since 1958, it has published almost 75 reports.
