A FUNCTIONAL AND SPATIAL ANALYSIS OF THE SUPREME COURT, CIVIL TERM BUILDING IN THE FOLEY SQUARE COURT COMPLEX OF NEW YORK COUNTY (NY) DESIGNED TO ACCOMODATE PROJECTED COURT CASELOAD AND PERSONNEL REQUIREMENTS UP TO 2000 A.D.
Abstract
THE PHYSICAL PLANT IS DESCRIBED IN DETAIL, INCLUDING HEATING, PLUMBING, AND ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT. THE SPECIFIC SPATIAL REQUIREMENTS OF EACH DEPARTMENT AND COURT FUNCTION IS DETERMINED. RECOMMENDATIONS ARE MADE TO REDESIGN AND RELOCATE AND TO RECONCILE SPACE NEEDS WITH AVAILABLE SPACE. NUMEROUS FLOW CHARTS, ORGANIZATION CHARTS, AND FLOOR PLANS ARE PROVIDED. THIS DOCUMENT IS AN APPENDIX TO THE FOLEY SQUARE COURT COMPLEX FINAL REPORT (NCJ-9779).
