Abstract
ALSO OUTLINED ARE THE REASONS WHY CLAIMS HAVE AND CAN BE DISALLOWED. THESE INCLUDE FAILURE TO REPORT THE CRIME TO POLICE WITHIN 48 HOURS, FAILURE TO COOPERATE WITH BOARD INVESTIGATORS, CLAIMANT PROVOCATION OF THE INJURIES AND/OR CRIME, AND FAILURE TO MEET THE 'SERIOUS FINANCIAL HARDSHIP' AND 'STANDARD OF PROOF' REQUIREMENTS. SEVERAL REPRESENTATIVE CLAIMS ARE DESCRIBED THROUGHOUT THIS REPORT.
