THIS APPENDIX CONTAINS SIX SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS ON VARIOUS ASPECTS OF NINE-ONE-ONE IMPLEMENTATION IN ALAMEDA COUNTY (CA).
Abstract
THE FIRST IS A SURVEY OF RESIDENCE CUSTOMERS' REACTIONS TO THE NINE-ONE-ONE'S SYSTEM OF AUTOMATICALLY IDENTIFYING THE CALLING NUMBER AND LOCATION. THE SECOND IS A STUDY OF ANONYMOUS PHONE CALLS TO POLICE THAT SHOWS THAT NINE-ONEONE POSES NO THREAT OF REDUCTION TO THE QUANTITY OF ANONYMOUS PHONE CALLS THAT ARE VALUABLE TO THE POLICE. OTHER REPORTS CONSIDER THE ADDITION OF THE CALLER'S NAME TO THE ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER INFORMATION; THE POTENTIAL VALUE OF AN AUTOMATIC LOCATION IDENTIFICATION CAPABILITY; DISPATCH SUPPORT DATA; AND QUEUING PROCEDURES.
