Individuals, found not guilty by reason of insanity (NGRI) and involved in court-mandated outpatient treatment, were assessed for patterns of psychopathology.
Abstract
Comparisons of self-report and interview-based methods were made with self-report measures eliciting greater severity on initial evaluations. In general, NGRI acquittees exhibited mild to moderate severe psychopathology with a greater endorsement of depressive and aggressive symptoms. One figure, one table, and 21 references are included.
