This project developed a Global Reference Architecture (GRA) Service Specification Package (SSP) for the transfer of offender tracking information (offender tracking record) from one offender tracking system to another.
Abstract
It is envisioned that this SSP could provide a foundation for future information exchange initiatives that involve data transfers among multiple criminal justice agencies and the providers of various offender tracking systems in the United States. The capability for automated information sharing across jurisdictions and provider software platforms would greatly expand law enforcement capabilities. In order to facilitate a review of the purpose, scope, capability, and real-world effects this service specification intends to address, a full review of the associated Service Description Document (SDD) can be located by first downloading the service specification zip file accessible on this web, followed by navigation to the "artifacts" folder, which contains the corresponding SDD for this service.
